Klorane mango butter shampoo & conditioner

Klorane is a great hair care brand.

I love their dry shampoo.

I'm currently using a different shampoo by Klorane.

I'm excited to try this mango version.

I own the original revealed palette and use it almost everyday.

I love the shades but I found them to be weak on pigmentation.

Dr. Jart+ dermaclear Micro Water

This was my sample choice.

It can be used as a make-up remover, toner, etc.

I tried this as a remover and it works great.

Supergoop! Everyday SPF 50

I have a travel size of this and I'm glad to have more.

This sunscreen is really good--isn't sticky and doesn't leave a white mess.

This is super cute!

It's a bit tight for my head though so I had to adjust it.

Always nice to receive a non-beauty, lifestyle item.

This month, it's the Tig Guest Editor Box,  "Ready, Set, Summer Box".

ALSO, did you notice the "New Option" BB is offering?

It looks like you can now purchase the Guest Editor Box for an extra $10 if you want both the 'regular' and 'guest' box.  This means I won't need multiple accounts anymore!  This is the first month they are rolling this out and who knows if it will become a regular option or not.

I'm going to see what if they offer it again next month-- then I'll cancel my multiple accounts.

Not super excited about this curated box. I've tried the Real Chemistry Peel and I didn't care for it.  Everyone will receive the Fat Eyeliner in their 'regular' box so I'm surprised to see it also featured in the Guest Editor Box.  Otherwise, I love the "Hello" series by Harvey Prince and I've been wanting to try any of the Davines products.

What are you picking this month? Or will you not pick and keep it a surprise?

I'm debating between the Microwater and Eye Gel and the Tig Box.

BIRCHBOX #2 contents for January 2015 ♥

My Birchbox #2 is here!

This month I am 'Bold'.  Last month I was 'Jovial'.

I'm really liking the box design this month. 

It's super cute with the confetti design.

Birchbox also released a video asking all subscribers to keep ALL of our boxes this year for a surprise.  I wonder what it is ^_^

This month's theme is 'Let's do this'.

A first look. 

So here are my contents. 

I'm not blown away at first glance but I'm pleasantly surprised by the generous sample size of the hairspray.  And I'm curious about that eyeliner.

Number 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray

So I was worried about this one.  

I received the Number 4 shampoo/conditioner in my previous box and I did not enjoy the smell.  

It was too strong and smelled like a men's cologne. 

I assumed this hairspray would smell the same BUT nope, thankfully I was wrong.

This hairspray smells so good!  I'm really loving it.

And after receiving several aerosol hairsprays, I'm glad this one wasn't.

Much easier to apply.

Essential Elements Wake Up Rosemary Body Lotion

I was super happy to see this in my box.  

I was going to pick this one for my sample choice but it was out of stock.

Somehow, I received it in my box anyway. Cool ^_^

However, I don't like it... Again, it's the smell.

It has a sharp minty smell and it reminds me of an ointment.

Smells like a hospital. 

It comes in a cute jar though.  I'll use this at night before bed so it won't go to waste.

Dr. Jart + Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45+

I love BB creams--Laura Mercier is the current one I'm using and I'm loving it.

I tested Dr. Jart this morning.  I like the consistency--it's very fluid and not as thick.

It had a slightly lighter tint compared to my Laura Mercier but I'll use this.

I might use this as a primer.

Juliette Has a Gun - Not a Perfume

This is a perfume sample.  The scent name is 'Not a Perfume'.

Hmmm..I don't really like it.

It's a smell that I think older women would wear.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner - color *New Delhi Chai*

I would say this is a half-size sample.

I like this eyeliner--it's super creamy and soft but doesn't smudge.

Highly pigmented and has a slight shimmer to it.

I don't own this kind of color so I'm excited to wear this.

This wasn't the most amazing box but it wasn't the worst either.

There were 2 items that wasn't a match for me, scent-wise.

But I really love the hairspray and the eyeliner.

I might even purchase the full size hairspray in the future.

The total value of this month's box (roughly) comes to $18.76

The value was lower too compared to other boxes but still a very good deal for a $10 box.

Now we wait for my box #1 !
